-A brilliant reference for teachers facing challenges in implementing project-based learning in their schools.
-Step-by-step details on various activities comprising the PBL approach as well as detailed case studies provided in the 'Spotlight' section significantly narrow the knowledge gap for teachers using this reference as a DIY guide to implement projects for their schools.
-A good reference to complement PBL workshop training.
PBL in the Elementary Grades

This book builds on knowledge from the work done in "Setting the Standard for Project Based Learning" but applies specifically to elementary. The templates provided and spotlight projects really connected the knowledge to the practical for me.

I'm mind blown by how simple this book makes PBL and the abundance of examples that make a lot of sense. Relieved as well because for me it's the ultimate resource to learn and get started with PBL. Excellent from start to end and includes a lot of clarifications and details. This book is a must-have for all teachers and whoever wants to go further with PBL
Awesomeness!

So, full disclosure - I'm one of BIE's National Faculty, but I fell in love with this book years before I started working with BIE. I was looking for a resource to help me explain PBL to my new colleagues who were wanted to know more about "that PBL thing" I was doing in my classroom. This guide was the perfect fit. It's a very user-friendly resource that I think is especially helpful if you haven't been able to attend a PBL 101 workshop. Of maybe you've attended some non-BIE training in PBL but still feel like you need more support. This book breaks down all of the Essential Elements and teaching practices while providing you with connections to the work you are already doing, tips from PBL classrooms, rubrics and lots more. Get yourself a copy today and begin (or continue) your PBL journey!
